Omega Pattern is a Visual Novel which offers a variable multiple-choice decision system. This means that both the number of decision points and the number of choices or options that you will find in those decision points may vary according to your previous decisions during the game.
SYNOPSIS
The world where the Omega Pattern story happens is seemingly normal, similar to the one we live in. However, genetics and fate mean that a few individuals are born with a kind of Pattern or special brain signal which lets them develop unique and varied psychic skills that are determined by their life experiences, which form their behavior and character.
From the shadows, an organization known as Bioagora controls the world according to its own interests thanks to the power and influences that they get, in part, from their Agents. These Agents are people who own the Pattern and have been coerced, bought, forced and even captured against their will to be brainwashed and indoctrinated, so they can faithfully serve the Bioagora.
Shaiel001b (21 years old), a man who possesses the Pattern, has found himself forced to live in secrecy in order to avoid falling into the hands of the Bioagora. However, as time passes, it gets more difficult to escape from a power which is increasing exponentially. Seeking for allies has become a unavoidable, and it seems that the only alternative available are the Celtas; a small and poorly organized group with unorthodox methods, whose plan to face the Agents and restoring an order different to the Bioagora’s seems near impossible.
As the rest of the population stay impassive in a gray world, Shaiel will have Shaiel to play his cards right and find out the truth hidden by the Bioagora, the Celtas and himself.

A visual novel is an interactive adventure like video game genre, mainly performing static images, limited interaction and special attention to the story or narration which resembles mixed-media novels.
In this genre, the plot and story are considered the strongest points. Most of VNs performance multiple storylines and many alternative endings; the gameplay mechanic in these cases typically consists of intermittent multiple-choice decision points, where the player selects a direction in which to take the game. This style of gameplay has been compared to the gamebook books.
In the typical VN, the graphics comprise a set of generic backgrounds, with character sprites (立ち絵 tachi-e?) superimposed on these; the perspective is usually first-person, with the protagonist remaining unseen. At certain key moments in the plot, special event CG graphics are displayed instead; these are more detailed images, drawn specially for that scene rather than being composed from predefined elements, which often use more cinematic camera angles and include the protagonist. These event CGs can usually be viewed at any time once they have been “unlocked” by finding them in-game; this provides a motivation to replay the game and try making different decisions, as it is normally impossible to view all special events on a single play-through.

When will you release the full version of the first part?
We released the first part on 26th May. In addition to this, we hope to release an update to translate it to Japanese in the future. Meanwhile, in order to determine when we could release the next part, we will have to study different factors like the VN acceptance.
Though we are a small studio, we want to make this project a reality and we won’t skimp on resources if we get a good reception in the video games community. We will keep you up to date of the current state of the project on the blog and social networks and, after a reasonable time, we will be ready to publish an estimated release date of the next part.
The next part of Omega Pattern will be the final part. However, due to its long extension (+40 hours), we could decide to divide it into two shorter parts in order to offer you new content sooner. This will be done through an Early Access and updates since the decision system of the second part won’t allow us to separate it into more parts. This way, every decision you make will cause an impact on the story as it advances as well as in the endings.
We are going to release the VN in English, Spanish and Japanese. However, if you are interested in translating the VN in another language, you can contact us.
The first part of Omega Pattern is available at $4,99. We can’t determine the price of the second part yet.
Borokai Studio is a small group of professionals and friends that seek to offer a more personal and deeper experience in the VN genre.

Unfortunately, we did a Kickstarter campaign and we didn’t get enough funds for the Omega Pattern Final Part nor DLC continuation, so we are currently looking for collaborators and volunteers to develop and finish the Omega Pattern’s Final Part.
What makes Omega Pattern different from other VNs?
In Omega Pattern we ‘reinvent’ the visual novel concept by giving you the opportunity to choose the main character’s personality in a prologue where you will recall his past.
In addition to this, the narrative style is different from other visual novels, letting you get into the main character’s head instead of being a mere spectator. We avoid the use of tedious descriptions to explain what’s happening and make use of the main character’s reactions and thoughts to make the scenes more realistic. For example, we prefer to use ‘Shit, my jaw!’ instead of ‘He punches me on the chin’.
What does it mean to choose one personality or another?
Every personality defines a character with his own storyline which will change as you advance on the story and keep making decisions. The results will depend on the consistency of the character and the impact that your decisions have in the world.
Omega Pattern is not a typical visual novel nor a SIM Date (Date Simulator). The story of the main character doesn’t depend on Heroines, but this doesn’t mean that you won’t find romance.
Omega Pattern is an original idea with several influences. Throughout the game, you will find references and tributes to different works which have influenced to a greater or lesser extent the creation of our universe.
What are the minimum system requirements of Omega Pattern?
Omega Pattern has a desktop version (PC-Windows/Linux and Mac), a mobile version (Android and iOS) and an iPad version. The minimum system requirements for a 2D visual novel are usually low, however, we recommend to download the Free Trial Version available on every platform in order to be sure you can enjoy the experience without problems.
